A few disappointments

Esthetically the unit is great. So far freezes great but it has only been a week and a half. It is a disappointment that there is no light furthermore the manual says that it should be. Also the left panel of the unit gets pretty warm to the touch from time to time. I am not sure if it is normal. No autodefrost is also a little surprise.

Its Quiet and built w/ Quality

Purchased 03/2023 - I live in a 1 BR apartment w/ a narrow kitchen so size was a factor as well quality and w/ this having no self-defrost I at first was concerned. Its met all those concerns as a win. I do have to defrost it twice a year which is very easy. Its quiet you cant hear it at all after its adjusted after filling it up. So w/ all the above positives what are the cons? Ive only found one so far I cant put a whole turkey in it. Im a retired senior only me left. So w/ that only con its help me to see I dont need a whole turkey anyways so its not really a con to myself. Just buy the breast and enjoy that since its what I like. Love this freezer and Ive come to really like LG as a company. This is the third large product of theres Ive bought this year. All are great quality products that Ive told all my friends about.

Ive been wanting a freezer for a while and finally got this one. Its an upright freezer where I can see everything and easily within reach. It has shelves/dividers that cant be removed. Wish they made these adjustable shelves so I can store tall liquid containers. But I really love the looks and convenience of storing frozen food.

Nice Efficient Secondary Standup Freezer

Wed received this standup freezer as a BOGO offer as it came in handy because the main refrigerator wed purchased was a lemon out of the box The ONLY thing about this unit is that the coil/condenser cover is missing on the unit. I got this freezer on a promotion when i bought my refrigerator. Its a nice little freezer. its a little small if i was to buy an upright freezer but it is nice. My plan was to use it as overflow for venison during hunting season. but until then Im using it for regular food. Again its not a large freezer. but it came in handle when my chest freezer quit. See the attached photo for a real idea of what you can fit in it. Also pray that it doesnt break down... LGs customer sucks. And it takes for ever to get parts in. Im currently waiting 2 months for parts for my LG range.

I am truly disappointed. I have had this freezer less than 1 year and it quit working. All of the food spoiled. I have been trying all month to get the freezer serviced by LGs recommended technician. I waited 2 full days 8 am - 4pm for the technician to show up but apparently they were unable to make the scheduled appointment. I am frustrated and feel like I am getting the run around for this defective product. I do not recommend this product especially when I have to wait for LGS technician. So much for having a warranty.

Was initially surprised and excited to be getting the size freezer that I have wanted a a perk for buying my new fridge. When I couldnt see it in the store and they hedged my questions I should have known it was too good to be true. Freezer is horribly designed very inefficient a total waste. Not worth the money I spent on the special surge protector I had installed for it. Am planning to trash it as anyone who has seen it doesnt want it. We know it was what we needed for our small space in our cabin when we saw it in Home Depot. The seven 14W x 12D shelves are great for the smaller items we need to keep cold. The modest 51 height means you can see over it and also have space to hang things on the wall behind it. Defrosting called for might be an issue for some.

Freezer seams nice but shelves are not removable

After thanksgiving I made a bunch of turkey and ham soup from the left overs. HOWEVER the shelves are too close together to use the quart size containers we use to store the soup. Dont purchase this if you think you can store items taller than 4 or 5 inches. This is great for TV dinners pizzas and items like that.

Had a 12 cu ft chest freezer decided to scale back sold our home moved into apartment. Old freezer was too big for our apartment refrigerator/ freezer that came with apartment was too small. I was miising my freezer found this at Home Depot. I have always had good luck with LG brand. Fits perfect in our kitchen good looking product works great plenty of food storage for the two of us. I love this little freezer. Much better interior layout than Kenmore unit I had both 6 cu ft. Nice to have door shelves and a small drawer. Smudge proof door surface is great and door material is less likely to show dings. Easy to stack light weight objects on top if you are pressed for space.

Ive been using this for about a month its the perfect size for a mobile home. It is compact outside by plenty big inside. I do a lot of cooking ahead to keep dinner time simple for the next week or two. The upright freezer makes storage easy and access even easier.
