I love the door but thats about it

I love the look of this microwave and I LOVE the door - no push button to get stuck or broken no ugly handle sticking out to have to clean but sorry. Sliding for cook time apparently a 3 min max and having to do math and tap for an additional 30 secs is horrible. Fingerprint smears are evident. The start and reset buttons are finicky if you dont touch them in the right spot. I miss the option of a cook timer accessible on the outside. And what is up with the melodies? Its just not for me. It does heat as well as my Panasonic inverter 1200w that broke. Sorry LG. Make a microwave with that awesome door man I love that door and a keypad and less prolonged notification sound and Ill buy it

lmc1575 microwave issues

Was excited about this new microwave but its just had problems since purchasing in October 2020. Within 2 years the magnetron went out....which was fixed by a local repair shop under warranty replaced the magnetron but we did pay for the labor. Now August 2023 the microwave is not heating well takes twice the time to heat up items as it has in the past....so not sure if the magnetron is failing again or if it is another issue. The cost for repair place to assess and labor on top of what we already paid for labor to replace the magnetron is approaching what it would cost to buy a new unit. Really frustrating that an appliance wont last just 3 or so years w/o any issues.

I had the smaller version of this microwave for six years before it started sparking. I purchased this one and I am very disappointed. The off-gassing smell never went away after several days and uses. There were banging sounds when in use that did not sound normal. The glass turntable was rocking too even though the wheels on turntable holder were fine. I didnt want to endanger my health so I returned it.

Nice Microwave like door and visibility into microwave oven while cooking the light inside while cooking is a plus chime is pleasant at end of cooking. Food cooks nicely as long as one calculates the power to use as this is an overpowered unit. Home Depot showed this was an 1100 watt unit but its 1250 so cooking w/ it is going to be a challenge. Im working it out tho and so far the different foods are coming out nicely. Big Con: Most frozen precooked foods today have directions and times for cooking using an 1100 watt unit so 1250 is too high.

Ive had this microwave for about 3 weeks. I like that the door isnt push button to open. The interior is very roomy and easy to clean. Ill admit that the controls take a little getting used to as they are totally different from any that Ive had in the past. They take a very light touch to activate. I do have to be careful that I dont restart it when Ive taken the food out and am closing the door. Overall I like it.

I bought this microwave when the one I had for 15 years finally died. I was skeptical of buying a microwave that doesnt have a number pad but this one honestly doesnt need one. The true test of a microwave is how it cooks popcorn. The automatic popcorn setting on this one produces perfect popcorn. Nearly all kernels popped and none burnt or even mildly browned. The sensor worked exactly as it should. It is compact yet powerful. The musical chime is not loud or obnoxious. All in all I am quite satisfied with it. I know there were reviews that said it wont last and that it would break down about the time the warranty expires so I bought an extended warranty. I will update this review if a problem arises with this unit that would make me change my rating.

I actually went to buy a different brand/model but once again a store that cant bother with accurate quanitys online and the store so at the last minute I chose the LG. And Im so happy I did. The interior has no gaps or overlaps making wiping out/cleaning a breeze. The light is bright and the easy to read touch buttons make using the settings simple. The only difficulty I had was deciding which side of my counter to place it.

Nearly Perfect

While Im still getting used to not having a number keypad on the front or at all its actually much quicker to start the unit and get cooking using the slider or just the start button for the cast majority of cooking jobs. The multi-wheel turntable is definitely a nice feature for stability and the EasyClean interior is indeed easier to clean than out old oven which had hard angles and corners. The smooth door makes it easy to keep the front looking nice and clean. The power seems good the popcorn function works great and so far the sensor reheat works well - it seems to take a bit longer than if you just blast something on high but it does make for a very even consistent heating of a leftovers plate and avoids overheating parts of the food etc. My only gripe is that theres no way to turn off shorten or change the volume of the various musical notification jingles. My wife loves them but she hasnt tried to nap in the family room with the microwave chiming away every time someone wants a hot tea.

Another great LG product. This microwave is simple to use my 8 year old was using it 10 minutes after I opened it to make popcorn. It cooks food evenly and does a great job defrosting. I also like how easy it is to clean up with just a damp paper towel. I also like the tone it makes when the timer goes off no more loud annoying beeps.

The rattle while running is annoying and can not figure out what is causing it. Love the way it heats things. I do like the music at the end instead of the bell.

I could not believe how simple it is to use the LG LMC1575ST microwave. This is probably my fifth time purchasing a microwave and i can unequivocally say that this LG is the best one I have ever had. One of the things that I really like is that it is just so user friendly. My 11 yr old twins especially like it and there comment is that it makes the best popcorn ever

Microwave that only lasts for eight months.

Purchased for kitchen remodel. Loved it. Worked great for seven months. Then started to take a while longer to heat things. The didnt heat at all. The appliance store we purchased at said they had to order the part to fix. Six weeks later they replaced the part. Still didnt work. Had to purchase another and supposed to be receiving a refund for the defective one. Been three weeks havent seen the refund yet. Hoping the new one will be ok . Love the look of the microwave. love the tune it plays after finishing cooking.

The Microwave works well and has good features. However it is very loud and seems to vibrate the door or the glass turntable excessively. Very annoying. I do miss the ability to set time to individual seconds. I must stand and watch to get 15 seconds when 20 is too much.

Great Microwave Bad Display

I purchased a complete suite of LG appliances for a total kitchen remodel four years ago 2018. I have had complete satisfaction zero problems with all of the LG appliances refrigerator stove dishwasher as well as LG washer drier in laundry room EXCEPT for the microwave model LMC1575 black stainless. This past year the microwaves display started losing segments and now it has lost nearly half of them and its impossible to read the time at all. After some searching it seems to be an issue reported by others. Other than that I love the microware.

I bought this 3 weeks ago and I just love it. Easy and very accurate auto Cook is so accurate. Super easy to clean. Love how door opens and most buttons are inside. So easy to use. The only reason I gave it a 4 was because there was no 4 1/2 star rating. It is a bit noisy when operating almost like a vibration but I can deal with that for the other great options it has.
