Leaks after 1 year of use do not recommend

I created an account and logged into it to warn everyone about this dishwasher. It started leaking exactly 1 year after purchase within a few days of the warranty expiring. The front door seal on it tends to leak and luckily they added a leak catch system on the dishwasher so no damage to the house or flooring. The bad news is you will get an AE error meaning the leak sensor is detecting water. It started off as the sensor going off every once in while. We could dry out the catch sump on the bottom and move on. It got worse. We replaced the door seal on it and it was fine for a month or two then it started leaking again. It looks like the corners of the door seals on this dishwasher do not seal well allowing water to get through. It recently started slowly dripping onto the floors. That was the tipping point for us. We own all LG appliances and this dishwasher has been the worse purchase so far. Everything else has been trouble free. We opted to get a competitor dishwasher brand that has a much longer warranty after this experience. I do not recommend it at all it is just a flat out bad door seal design guaranteed to leak and youll pay $800 for the privilege to see it leak. I have never had this happen with other dishwashers ever even ancient ones.

Beware of the 2 Year Warranty

We purchased this because of all the positive reviews and it seemed like a good replacement to our Bosch dishwasher. Within the first week of use the door latching mechanism which seems to be flimsy metal and plastic broke leaving the door in the locked position...along with our dishes. LG replaced that unit with a new one but after just 1 year of use the slider bearings on the middle rack glasses seized preventing that rack from sliding out. After speaking with LG they determined that our 2 year warranty did NOT cover the rack slider. We purchased the replacement rail for $150 dollars which went bad again after 4 months of use and our rack has been stuck in an unusable position for months now. The door stared leaking water at exactly 1 year and 7 months after installation. The door leak was so bad that it caused water damage to the hardwood floor and the cabinet it was next to. This unit has been GARBAGE - feels like we threw away close to a thousand dollars. After 5 years of no issues with our Bosch dishwasher we will be purchasing a new Bosch unit again.

Stay away from this dishwasher. We were excited when we first purchased it to replace our 15 year old dishwasher we thought better water utilization less noise better cleaning. Unfortunately I havent been able to use the dishwasher more than a handful of times the door wont close and when it doesnt it doesnt seal correctly and will flood my kitchen. Additionally the repair service has been here 4 times and they havent been able to figure out the issues they continue to replace seals rails and nothing. Ive asked the LG team for a replacement and they continue to opt for repair when it hasnt worked. Stay away from this machine.

Known defect with the ball bearings.

One week end and the second rack is loosing ballbearings and refusing to open. Lga made us fight to other and nail to agree to send a technician out or send us the part because as they tried to insist that since one of THEIR technician didnt install it the warranty didnt apply to us. They were insisting we pay for the repair on one week old dishwasher. I finally got escalated to a supervisor and he told me that since January 2024 there is a known issue with the ball bearings. He arranged for a technician to come out and repair it but warned me ITS LIKELY TO HAPPEN AGAIN. Sigh. The cost of the dishwasher and the $245 install I paid for is money down the drain. I can return it to best buy. But Im still out $300 on install fees and parts. This is rubbish that they are still selling this. I will be complaining to the BBB and anyone who will listen. The technician online chat was very rude and argumentative trying to claim that improper install was why the bearings are falling out. And stating I would have to pay the technician.

Our small family purchased this dishwasher in February its been only 4 months the upper rack ball bearings have now had to be replaced multiple times. Worried for when the dishwasher is outside of its year manufacture warranty that we will be stuck with trying to find an entirely new dishwasher. We are unable to close the dishwasher when this problem occurs as the top rack gets stuck will not close properly. Its been a huge headache I wish we would have done more research before purchasing. I have submitted a video showing exactly whats happening so that others can BEWARE. I hope that LG sees this review makes things right.

Very frustrated - the top drawer broke after 2 days The bearings fell out and rolled across the floor - now the drawer is almost impossible to close. I called in and a replacement part will be sent but I am expected to install it Very frustrated with the build quality. In addition the included drain hose is too short. Installer had to charge extra to go to Home Depot for more hose to reach the disposal. We have also experienced some cleaning issues with disware in the top rack. All of our other LG products have been excellent so my disappoint is magnified here.

What a letdown

I purchased this dishwasher Feb 7. It took 5 weeks to get it delivered. Now after a week of use the top drawer slides are losing bearings. I want to love this machine its very quiet and cleans well. Edit. The offer to talk on social media would work if I had social media. I dont. Attempting to submit a warranty claim online requires me to check a box that means I accept a $299 flat service fee. No. Have been using the machine with only half use of my top rack. Demoting my rating to 1 star to reflect the support I receive after purchase.

We have had this diswasher for 14 months now. It is amazingly quiet and does an excellent job getting the dishes clean and dry. Most of the time we use the 1 Hour wash unless we have a large very heavily soiled load. Only occaisionally do we use the longer cycles. We love the adjustable rack height and also the adjustable tines in the baskets. Over the years we have had over many dishwashers from GE Kenmore Frigidaire Maytag and now LG. This is the best unit. Highly recommended.

I bought an LG dishwasher on 11/25/24 which was installed on 12/13/24. So far the machine works perfectly but Im still learning as I havent been able to get the drying cycle set correctly. One issue I find unusual is the warranty starts on the day of purchase vs the day of installation which could amount 2+ weeks differential.

This dishwasher is awesome. Cleans like non I have owned before. Scrape do not rinse is a real thing with this model. Glasses sparkle dishes crusted with egg yoke come shinny clean. I really could not be happier with the performance of this machine.

I bought it for two months now. The layout and capacity is great. I was able to load my dishes and pots and pans with ease. The third tray was a plus. The washer cycle seems to take a long time. There is only a 1 hour wash and everything else is 2.5 hours. It seemed ridiculous to take that long.

Do not purchase this product We purchased March 2024 and had to call for repair November 2024. Someone came out left and we still have a broken dishwasher. We contacted customer service and they actually extended our warranty for 2 additional years with the promise in writing to have a repair person come on December 6th. No one showed up and now they are saying in writing that they have 30 days to respond to repair requests. Again save your money and dont purchase this product.

For intallation the little push in plastic knobs over the side holes for attachment to side frame are a little unknown how well they will hold up. It is quiet although the extra sound deadening roll that came with it is not good. Rolled up very tight and awkward to install. Also binds the door up. Probably going to remove it. Really like the 1 hour feature and the dishes are clean.

I purchased this dishwasher on September 7 and it has not Worked since installation LG Repair Man has been here three times and now they just ordered a new computer board first time Ive ever ordered an LG product. Im not sure I will buy another one.

This dishwasher seems to clean dishes good but the collapsible rows are a nightmare. The bottom rack falls off the rails and the wheels fall off and the rack doesnt lock when you are trying to load it so it keeps sliding back in. An expensive piece of garbage and we hate it.

we got this 10 months ago purchased an open box model from the outlet. unfortunately the model started leaking we were told by the technician that this was due to an installation or delivery issue and thus wasnt covered by any warranty. Sucks.

Ive had this machine for 3 months. Its a very good machine however there is not intermediate wash cycle after 1hr. the next cycle is 2hrs and 25min. There should be another cycle in between.

Bought LG dishwasher and paid for installation and removal of the old one. Requested COI for building access 3 times with various departments and never received it. Support company had no idea who can provide it. At the end I had to beg Property manager to let delivery crew into the building. They were not prepared to make installation and couldnt speak a word of English. Had to speak with their translator over the phone to discuss the situation. At the end they left without installing new dishwasher and left the old one in the kitchen? Support agent took the complaint and didnt provide any solution just a promise that someone will call me without any specific time?? As a final insult to the wound the model they delivered was not the RIGHT ONE. Knowledge.............0 Professionalism......0 Service...................0 Value......................0

In all honesty I will never purchase anything from lg.com again. I have been waiting three weeks for a dishwasher that was supposed to be delivered two days after I purchased it. Between shipping delays and the original park showing up to the logistics company damaged and the horrendous experience with trying to get an exchange it has been one of the worst customer experiences Ive ever had. Whenever I call him to try and get an update on the order Im always told the systems are limited and cant get the information that I need. Im simply asking for a tracking number when my dishwasher will be delivered. The kicker is Im already paying for this and I dont even have the product yet. I continue to check the status and it still says awaiting tracking. I tried to get a hold of the supervisor and was able to successfully get that to happen once and they told me that the order was going to be delayed until September 10. However if I was to order a new unit today it would be delivered in two days. The only reason I have not canceled this order and re-ordered a new unit is because there were incentives in the beginning for discounted extended warranties and delivery options. Again for a company the size of LG I expected more.

I purchased this machine from LG.com directly. They missed the first delivery date then on the second delivery date the logistics company called me to tell.me that the unit was damaged and they would it be delivering it which is fair. I wastgen contacted by the logistics company and was told that I need to call LG and arrange for the replacement unit. Kind of odd to put that back on the customer when the word logistics is in your company title. Very long drawn out story short the customer support group is very limited in what they can do. One of these limitations was sending me a new machine asap. This has gone around and around with their team and unfortunately as the consumer you are just stuck with waiting. I requested a call back from a manager never happened. Dont ever request a callback from their system. Im still waiting on 3. In the endI will never purchase from LG.com again. Something so simple has been made so complicated. What was supposed to be delivered to me in 2 days is now going on week 3 and I still dont have a tracking number or install date but at least the order for the replacement was approved. Maybe once the product is delivered Ill come back and edit this with and update but again I still dont know when that will be.

This product looks sleek and is super quiet Once you step out of the kitchen its hard to hear. Inside has plenty of space for a variety of dish sizes and the 3rd shelf is super convenient. This thing really cleans The only reason its not a 5 star is because the wash and dry in an hour doesnt have the best drying ability. Weve had to set additional dry time.

The dishwasher works well. Says its a smart appliance however remote options require turning power on. If Im out and remember I didnt start. I cant remote start unless Im home to hit power. That makes this option completely worthless.

Weve had it 3 years and the top control panel is out $400 to replace it. Dont be fooled by the 10 year warranty sticker on it thats only for the motor. Would not purchase again.

Worst Dishwasher Ive Ever Purchased

I purchased this product in June. It worked for two months and then threw and error code AE even though inspection revealed no leaks. The dishwasher would not reset and will not function with the AE code still active. Allegedly LG service is showing up at some point to look at it. Even if they do show up and fix it it is unacceptable for a product to brick itself in under 2 months. Ive owned other dishwashers and never had a problem like this which I think indicates the poor quality control at LG. In short this is the worst dishwasher Ive ever owned although since it is completely non-functional at the moment its a bit of a stretch to even call it a dishwasher

I had this dishwasher installed a couple of weeks ago when it drained it was so loud you could hear it throughout the entire house. Had it replaced. The second one is the quietest dishwasher I have ever owned WHILE IT IS WASHING. The draining is still rather loud but livable I guess. What I like: the program panel choices the display lights and the top rack is adjustable and it has an audible signal when finished. The dishes come out clean but wet unless you use the dry boost on every load. The stem holders hold the wine glasses at an awkward angle taking up extra space and it takes extra time trying to load this machine because of the lay out even though some of the tines are moveable. Not the best product from LG. I have previously owned two Maytags a Whirlpool and KitchenAid dishwashers.

Dishwasher good Installation Bad

The dishwasher is great now that it is installed. But the install took a month and 3 visits. It was not originally delivered with the installation kit that was included in my order. The responsibility then fell on me to coordinate any additional install/service calls even though I had paid for the install kit and the labor to do the install. They have no process to account for this scenario. And so the dishwasher sat in my garage for a month while I made several calls and had several service techs show up with no install kit. I dont understand why LG would spend so much time developing marketing and selling great products only to partner with sub-standard delivery and installation providers. It really taints the entire experience. And while the product itself is great quiet does the job cool third shelf and looks great there is no way that I can recommend this product unless you buy the install kit separately and install yourself.
