If I could give it a zero I would have. Very noisy and antiquated. The last time I had a washing machine that I had to pour detergent over the clothes was 40 years ago. This is what came with my brand new house and has rust inside. Horrible.

Puts Holes in Clothes and Ruins Wool Sweaters

Do not buy any top-load washer from this brand. After about a year of use, it started putting holes in my clothes, including brand-new items. This is by far the worst washing machine I have ever owned. What makes it even more frustrating is that it ruined several of my wool sweaters, as well as shirts and underwear, leaving holes in them and making them unwearable. I always followed the recommended washing instructions, so this should not have happened. A washing machine is supposed to clean and protect your clothes, not destroy them. I have lost too many good garments because of this machine, and replacing them has been both expensive and frustrating. I would not recommend this product to anyone and wish I had chosen a different washer. Save your money and your clothes™€"look for a different machine.

This washer was recommended by the store as one of the better top loaders. I have not had a top loader in years and I was disappointed that it did not have a soap or fabric dispenser . My dark clothes always have a white residue on them - this washer is only 3 weeks old. It also will not completely spin the water out of small loads. Wish I would™€™ve purchased the GE front loader

This is the worst washer I have ever had in my life as soon as I got it it didn™€™t work right I had them to come out here about five times while it was in #Warranty never fixed it now it doesn™€™t add enough water or sometimes it doesn™€™t add any water at all to wash. It is hard to get the wash cycle to work. It doesn™€™t fill up at least half the time and never moves through the cycles. I have to plug it about 50% of the time and try to reset. Not easy to use, would love tips on what I™€™m doing wrong.

So upsetting!! We had this washer for about 3 years and the first issue was suspension rods, which we replaced. Now, we have an issue with the washer not spinning all the water out of the clothes. We've tried changing the sensor speed, and belt. We balance it perfectly, never overload it. I called GE for advice and unless we pay $114.00, they won't offer any help! Apparently this washer is known for these issues and GE won't stand behind their product.

Awful washing machine. Ours isn't even broken and we want to smash it with hammers. No agitator and it twists all your clothes into braids. Doesn't matter how few clothes you put in it. It somehow ate a pillowcase underneath its center plate....completely...about an inch was sticking out...its the only way I knew.it makes odd noises and destroys clothing necessitating ironing or steaming. I will never buy another GE product.

I am so excited with this washing machine. Our other one was getting old and had silicone rings that never seemed to keep clean (it was a front loader) We have used this one a couple times before and know it can handle any load like a champ. It was an easy decision to switch over to this one. Not to mention - it™€™s much easier to clean. It™€™s a stainless steel basket - no silicone nooks and crannies to try and dry out after every load. There are many different settings on it, water levels, stain types, and rinse options. Okay I™€™m done - I™€™m going to go do a load of laundry now haha!

The capacity is very good in the large stainless-steel tub. I have washed bedding, rugs, and clothing for 3 adults in it so far. The clothes come out nearly dry. There are multiple control settings, so you can make each wash a custom one. The only negative it that it can be noisy at times.

ZERO STAR REVIEW. After only six years, the hub under the wash basket disintegrated (part number WH03X33731). After looking at other reviews of this part both on the GE website and on other platforms, it is very clear that this is a common problem, and GE should recall this part and/or product. This part is not made of quality material, and is not even a hard metal. I would accept an offer from GE to send me a replacement part for me to install myself, or for GE to send a technician to fix it at no charge. There is no reason a part like this should be made of such inferior materials that would fail in such short amount of time. If GE is not willing to send the part or fix it, then I will be searching for another brand in the future.

I like this washer. It can wash a lot at once. Has lots of different modes for different washing. I find the clothes are rung out really well so dry time is quicker. It's quiet and easy to use. My only issue and it's more of a pet peeve is that the washer does t start filling with the lid open so I cant rinse my detergent cup but ive gotten used to it.

The washer has a great capacity without the center spindle! Love this, no more tank tops or bra straps getting tangled up. There are so many preset cycles to choose from every load can be custom tailored for your needs. The pre-stain settings are very helpful when you know the load is dirty, dirty. The best part is how quiet it is. I only wish it had a cheat sheet stuck to the inside lid that details what each cycle consists of. I would even love a cheat sheet I can print as a visual aid because I have 3 teenage boys learning how to wash their clothes. Visual aids are so helpful to us Moms with teens who think they know it all.🤨

So I have the version that has no agitator in the middle. It™€™s huge you can wash a lot but it™€™s easily out of balance if you™€™re just washing a blanket or two there is no water level adjustment so it™€™s all done electronically to me. It doesn™€™t feel like it feels enough water into the system to thoroughly and accurately wash your clothes. I™€™ve had clothes come out What felt like had dry spots on it and for the money you spend on us there is no fabric softener dispenser. It has to be manual, which means you have to come back to your washer and adjust the right time to put fabric softener in, which is ridiculous in this day and age. In all honesty, I think you can find a much better washer for the money that probably cleans better. You just won™€™t get the size. A normal clothes it™€™s relatively quiet. I just wish it had water level adjustment or if it was automatic like it is if it was a little more accurate, reading the load and also had a fabric softener dispenser.

I™€™m not sure if that would improve the results. But if you buy this washer- buy a heavy duty iron and ironing board. EVERYTHING comes out a tight wrinkled, crinkled mess. I hate ironing. I am mostly frustrated and disappointed with this machine. One of the most persistent issues is how frequently loads become unbalanced™€"particularly when washing items like sheets, towels, or bedding. If more than one bulky item is included, the machine often becomes off-balance multiple times during a single cycle. I™€™ve resorted to washing one sheet or blanket at a time, which is clearly inefficient and time-consuming. In addition, I cannot leave the house while doing laundry, as the machine may become unbalanced and literally move or "walk" across the laundry room. This is a major inconvenience and a serious design flaw. The lack of a notification for adding fabric softener is also frustrating. Although the washer includes a cycle for fabric softener, it provides no signal or alert when it™€™s time to add it. This forces me to constantly monitor the cycle just to catch the right moment™€"another example of poor usability. Furthermore, the 30-second video tutorials, the owner's manual, and the FAQs do not address any of the issues I™€™ve encountered. GE's product support is clearly lacking, and the overall experience has been disappointing. I do not recommend this washing machine. The inconvenience, inefficiency, and lack of helpful customer support outweigh any benefits it might offer.

This 3 year old washer has been nothing but problems for the last year. I do not recommend purchasing this brand and model. I bought this washer February of 2022. About 10 months ago, summer of 2024, it started making a loud noise while the tub spinned. Extended Warranty (which sucked but that's a diff company) came out and fixed it, eventually. It started making the same sound in January 2025, luckily my extended warranty didn't expire until February 2025, so I was able to get it looked at. The wrong parts were sent but the technician said I could still use it, it'll just sound like crap. It's still an open claim because I haven't heard from them even though the issue wasn't resolved. About 2 weeks ago, mid-March 2025, it start making a horrendous screeching noise. I had to pay out of pocket for this fix, but the guy came and fixed it. But now it doesn't work right, it won't cycle through and won't drain and spin. I hate this washing machine, especially for the price I paid and it only lasted a month after than the 3 year warranty expired. I won't buy another expensive appliance from GE.

Horrible washing machine

I will never buy washing machine again that does not have an agitator. Everything gets into a tangled mess and when it washes/spins. It doesn™€™t remove all the water. Everything is pre-programed so you cannot stop and just do a quick spin without having to start the whole cycle over. The cycles take forever . Too many things wrongabout the machine to list I will never buy this type of washing machine again. It is 4 or 5 years old and in great condition other than all the problems, looks like I™€™m going to have to invest and buy another washing machine one with an agitator. I™€™m very disappointed™€¦ ™˜¹ï¸

I really like the washing machine except it could use a timer/clock. It really does a nice job cleaning and spinning the close out. The size is good, also. It does seem a little loud when it first starts. All in all it's good so far.
