It™€™s a basic fridge. It keeps food cold at proper temperatures and has decent storage. I don™€™t care for how loud it is. I replaced a similar GE model with this one and this one you can hear in the next room when it runs. I also don™€™t care for the shelf positions compared to the old one. I have to put taller jugs in the door because they will not fit on the shelves.

Freezer defrost gets very hot!!!

Bought this over 16 months ago and still regret this purchase. The freezer is ruining my food! It defrosts at such a high temp that it produces ice crystals in almost every item in freezer. The first time it defrosted i had no idea what was happening. Freezer went from 0 to 70 degrees wuthin minutes. Called support and they said it was normal defrost activity. What! Anyways, have to use food within a month else its ruined. Never had problem with my prior GE refrig/freezer with defrosting..... in fact, i don't recall it ever defrosting (if it did I never realized it) so why is this one so dysfunctional and inferior!? Disappointed....

Great Space/ Temp concerns

I picked this fridge because 1. Fit the dimensions of the available space in my kitchen 2. Had a drainer drawer off the top shelf - which is not available in most units anymore. It is a very spacious fridge. The freezer also has a glass shelf, which makes a huge difference in storing frozen food! Love that feature. 3. I felt that it was a good price for the product overall. It sadly is not energy efficient- but that isnt going to change your monthly by much at all My only complaint is that I feel like the bottom of the fridge does not get cold enough (for my peace of mind), while products at the top freeze at times. I just practice caution in where I place certain items - which is what everyone else should do. When I place hot food in my fridge. I do get concerned that it is not cooling the food down fast enough and that the tempature of the fridge is impacted. This is a great fridge.I would recommend it to anyone.

Not good temp range

The fridge is just OK. I have a very accurate temperature sensor in the fridge. I™€™ve had it for about one month and I have the setting on the mid level, which is the recommended setting. The fridge maintains a temp range of 39-41 degrees F. The vents are not blocked and the fridge is not overloaded. The ideal temp range would be about 35-38 degrees F. Very disappointing to say the least. Especially since the first 2 weeks it did maintain that ideal temp range.

I don't like it. I don't like the configuration and the capacity is too small. I have a hard time bending over to get things, or even see them. I had to buy what was in stock at the time, because my old frig died suddenly. The alcove for the frig is too short for a better size than what was on hand.

GREAT CAPACITY/EFFICIENCY-JUST A LITTLE NOISY

Just got this fridge 3 days ago. So far so good. It's a 17.5 cu ft, top-mounted freezer--plenty of space for the needs of my husband and me. I especially love the glass shelving much more than the wire shelves in my previous fridge because I feel they will contain spills and its an overall more stable surface. Also, there's a glass shelf inside the freezer which all ows for more storage (we opted out of the icemaker. Its addition might alter that configuratio.) We also like the fact that the door's top shelf is wide enough to hold a gallon of milk AND has a small shelf at its base to hold smaller items which utilizes frequently overlooked storage space. For it's size, this refrigerator has quite a bit of storage capacity. As far as efficiency, I am pleased with it's temperature, so far. I do have it set almost all the way to the coolest setting and nothing has frozen in the fridge compartment. The only downside--and the reason It's not a 5 star rating--is that when it runs, which is not constantly, it IS noticeably louder than my previous Whirlpool refrigerator. BUT amid normal household noise, it's not that annoying. I don't think company would pay attention to it, but it's something I will just have to learn to ignore. The. noise factor was mentioned in other reviews, so I had a heads-up going into this purchase and it wasn't a complete surprise. BUT I do want to stress that overall, it is a good fridge for the money. ,

The refrigerator is nice, it works as expected. The only complaint I have is about the delivery. They arrived on time but wanted to bring the refrigerator in the box put it where I asked and then take off out the door. I had to ask them to remove it from the box. They had to retrieve the dolly to do so. I don™€™t know how they thought I was going to do that?!? And then they didn™€™t bother to plug it in and make sure it worked or put the handles on. I guess I expected it to be like Home Depot or something.

This refrigerator is perfect. It's simple. Purchase cost was terrific. No bells or whistles. Tired of buying appliances that have so many electronics that constantly fail. Dial settings is easy to set up. Glass shelving is easy to clean. There is more than ample space on door to store jars/bottles. Food is cold and the one setting for freezer/refrigerator is excellent. Replaced a GE refrigerator that was 34 years old that never needed service during it's usage.

I just received my new GE refrigerator. It is much quieter than the old one I had. I was told that it's energy-efficient and we'll use a lot less electricity. It's beautiful. It fit perfectly in the spot I had for it in the kitchen. I like the shelving. It contains an extra vegetable box in the middle giving it more capacity.

I am disappointed in this refrigerator. My last GE Refrigerator had a temperature control for the freezer and one for the refrigerator section. I have to turn it to max to get the freezer cold enough to be safe for frozen foods, and it barely does get to that temp. And then the refrigerator section is very cold. I think this feature was much better a few years ago. Not sure I'd buy this refrigerator again. The size, the look, and shelves, I am very happy with.

This refrigerator met my expectations for capacity, as I needed something that could handle food for 2 people. The configuration for the fridge was thought out nicely and handles the bottles, food, and other items perfectly. The noise level is a little louder than I expected and would want, but it's not overpowering; it's just a bit noisy for my liking. I can't comment on the efficiency as I don't have a good baseline for how much electricity I use now vs. what I had before. This is due to the fact that my prior refrigerator was considerably larger.

Runs all the time. Noisy. Has a hard time keeping temperature in both compartments. Had to turn it up one notch from recommended setting .Still does not get to normal temps on gauge. I dont like the single temperature control for both compartments. I had to order another shelf for freezer section from GE. Doesnt have a shelf for ice cube trays like old GE had. Also I dont like the hammered metal look on the sides. Good thing i got black. The white hammered metal would show the dirt.
