Very poor quality and reliability

This is the worst Range we have ever bought. We have had it for under 3 years and I am having repaired for the 4th time. The first three were under warranty. The warming burner stopped working. Next, the front right burner stopped working. The third time the control panel needed to be replaced because touch pad stopped working. The technician said it looed like coffee was spilled on the control board. Now when the stove heats up you can't turn it off. The timer won't shut off either. You have to turn it off at the breaker panel. The only positive thing I can say about the GE Cafe appliances that we have bought is they look nice. Every single appliance have needed repair. You would think that for the cost GE would make an attempt at having a quality product.

The oven works fine, unfortunately the large electric burner in the front right didn™€™t work properly when the range arrived. During a half hour on High it only heated water to a lukewarm temperature. I was advised repairman would respond in a week.

Having a hard time with oven cooking timely.

The stove seems great. We are having problems with the oven. We are finding it does not cook as quick as our old oven. We even raised the oven temp in settings. Our feeling is our old convection oven still had the element in the bottom and this one does not which could be why it is taking a lot longer to cook food in oven. Learned to also to preheat oven set to broil for awhile and it takes a lot less time to preheat oven baking. Kind of missing our old oven

The oven is loaded with chemicals, and the stove top either burns the food or doesn't cook on low. I have to stand in front of the stove the whole time I cook. It is maddening. I can't believe this range is so bad.

I am very disappointed with the product. The bake setting does not maintain proper temperature and consistently results in overbaked exterior with raw middles. Manual thermometer show the oven runs 50 deg Fahrenheit over set temperature.

Our oven broke a week after delivery. It took months and multiple calls to GE to have it repaired. It was an absolute nightmare but the repair worked. Fast forward 3 years and the induction cooktop stopped working. The repair service has been out 3 times and it is still not working. They have one more part to try, and waiting another week for this part to arrive. It has been almost a month already. I was told if this does not work then there is nothing else they can do.

Beautiful exterior but lacking in functionality

I™€™m disappointed that the oven light is way in the back and does not provide adequate lighting to determine the doneness of certain foods. Also disappointed that the lock control only pertains to the oven function. The control display is very sensitive to touch and the knobs can be easily turned on which could create a fire hazard. I™€™m also finding that is doesn™€™t cook as hot as the GE stove I just replaced.

Impossible to get customer service for issues

Love the range but I am giving it a 2 star rate because of a cosmetic manufacturing issue with the warming drawer. The frame of the warming drawers is crooked. Noticed it in the day after it was installed. Called Customer Service and it™€™s been so frustrating trying to get it fixed, I™€™ve called 3-4 times. Technician has been to the house twice and acknowledged that it is a manufacturing issue. He can™€™t get hold of the right department with the company to give an official report/update. He calls but can™€™t can™€™t get anybody on the phone. I was expecting better customer service. So disappointing.

I have been using my new Cafe' range for almost six weeks thus far and am very pleased. The reason for only 4 stars is the lack of instructions on using the Power Boil burner. (And contrary to GE's answer to my question about it, detailed instructions are not on page 8, or elsewhere, in the self-printed manual.) Also, it is not made clear that to access the ability to Air Fry, one must connect via WiFi for an update for that feature. Once I figured that out, I have found the Air Fry feature works well. I was fortunate to find a very good sale on this range; otherwise, I probably would not have bought such an expensive range. GE's "Guaranteed to Fit" offers to reimburse up to $300 for any modifications needed to make it fit. It was necessary to have my solid surface countertop modified. I have sent in my paperwork, but so far I have heard nothing from GE after almost six weeks.

We've used this oven nearly every day for about a month and have had no complaints. I give it give stars because it does everything we want it to do, plus the quality of the knobs, the warming drawer, and racks go a long way. No, not all of the burners heat up quickly, but I expected that. It's not going to instantly heat up like gas or induction, but it's been fine and that's coming from someone who used a gas range for two years before switching. The cooktop is more delicate than our old gas grates, but easy enough to clean. Some spills take a little more effort to cleanup if it's close to the radiant heat, but we haven't experienced any scratching.

Great range with a couple of minor points.

Very nice range. I love the air fryer, it is (reasonably) easy to keep clean and the SmartHQ app is nice. The reasons I didn't give it 5 stars, - When I removed the control knobs to clean them much of the lettering came off. - The no stick racks are easy to keep clean BUT, they are so slick that more than once I've had casseroles slide right off and onto the floor. - The glass top isn't the easiest to keep clean.

This range does everything you could ask for (and some things you didn't know you needed). The wi-fi was a little daunting for me as a senior, but it was much more intuitive than most.
